Name & Master Point Update Instructions for ACBLSCOR

The file is a “Notepad” text file

It should have a name like AB092109

AB = ABA & 092109 = Sept 21, 2009

You must copy this file to  your C:\ drive)

Select & Copy & Paste to C:\acblscor

To import the names into the ACBL Score Program:

1.  Run ACBL Score Program
2.  Select DataBase
3.  Select Import/Merge
4.  Select #3, "Import from a comma delimited file"
5.  Location of file to import - Select C:\acblscor
6.  Select AB031016.txt Or name of newest file
7.  Confirm Import [Y]
8.  Select #1 (Update players found in data base: Add players not found)
9.  Use space bar to tag fields in the following order:

1 First and Last Name

2 Address, City, State, Zip

3 Phone Numbers

4 Masterpoint Grand Total

5 Do Not Reduce Grand Total
Press Function Key F9 after you have made all of the TAGS

Again use space bar to tag fields in the following order:
      1.  Player number
      2.  Last Name
      3.  First Name
      4.  Street 1
      5. City
      6. State/Province
      7. Zip code
      8. Home phone
      9. Total Points
10.  Press F9 = Accept
11.  Ignore the first comma delimited import record? [N]
12. Send to tournament Data Base.
       WAIT FOR THE PROGRAM TO COMPLETE THE IMPORT, THEN PRESS ENTER. 
CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR IMPORT

13. Hit Enter

14. Go to Player Data Base to see if all fields are there.

15. In tournament Data Base hit “F” key to find player.

Repeat process to update the “Lookup Data Base
