CODE OF CONDUCT FOR DIRECTORS

A director has a duty to give INSTRUCTIONS

But a director should never give ORDERS

There is a clear and distinct difference between an order and an instruction.

The director should ALWAYS keep in mind that the game belongs to the players.

Every effort should be made to get players that are late into the game as long as the change

for the second round has not been called.

When setting up the game the director should make an effort to have a movement that will make

it easy to add a late pair or table.

It is necessary for the director to ASK the players for their attention.

The director does not have the right or the authority to demand the players attention.

All instructions given by the director must be given in a friendly and respectful manner.

The players have a right to suggest a movement or the number of boards to be played.

Remember the game belongs to the players.
