Tournament Result File Instructions

                                     In HTML Table format

 

                          You will only need to do the first 16 steps only once.

                              These are set up Instructions for your computer.

 

1.                 Turn on your computer.

2.                 Double left click on “Start”.

3.                 Double left click on “My Computer”.

4.                 Double left click on ( C ) Drive” The C drive will open.

5.                 Single right click in a blank spot & a menu will open

6.                 Slide your mouse over “View” & then to “Details

7.                 Now single left click on “Details”.

8.                 Single right click in a blank spot & a menu will open

9.                 Slide your mouse over “New” & then to”Folder”.

10.             Now single left click on “Folder”. A folder will appear with blue in the window.

          While the blue is still in the folder window.

11.             Type the letters “RESULTS”.

12.             Now left click your mouse on any blank spot on the screen.

13.             Single right click on the “RESULTS” icon & a menu will open.

14.             Slide your mouse over “Send To” & then to “Desktop(create shortcut)”

15.             Now left click on “Desktop(create shortcut)” Then close everything

16.             Now look on your desktop & find the “RESULTS” shortcut. Look harder.

 

 

                             Now that we have a place to store our tournament RESULTS

                                    we will create a TOURNAMENT RESULTS FILE

 

1.                 Open ACBLSCOR

2.                 Click on “GAME”

3.                 The “Game File Name dialog box will open.

4.                 Depress function key “F3” & a box that contains all of your games will appear.

5.                 Using the arrow keys scroll to the first game of tournament & press “ENTER”

6.                 On Command Line type “TO” (windows users EDIT – TO) Press Enter

The event name must be correct or the file name for the internet will be wrong.

Sample event names: Mary Jones Open pair or

Benefit OP 2PM Tues. The day & time of the game in the EVENT NAME

make it easy for players to find the game they are looking for.

7.                 Rename the Event


Be sure the city is correct

The Tournament name is the most important item here. Sample names are:

Cherry Blossom Grade A – or – St. Louis Grade “A” – or

Western Sectional – or – Prairieview Cruise

8.                 Rename Tournament & then press function key F9

9.                 On Command Line type “BU” (windows users REPORTS – BU) Press Enter

10.             In SELECT OPTION window choose 2 (Overall rankers, KO etc.) Press Enter

11.             In SELECT DESTINATION choose 8 (HTML file in table format) Press Enter

12.             You are in the file location window now. Press F2 - Now type “C:/RESULTS

          without quotation marks & then press Enter –

Change file name to “YOURNAME.HTM” (JOHNSON.HTM)

(Windows users in SAVE IN window navigate to Results folder and change

FILE NAME to “DIRECTOR.HTM). Director = your name. Press Enter.

13.             Item to include window opens. Press F8 to untag everything.

14.             Using the arrow & space keys tag 1,2 & 8 press F9

15.             If asked Continue with existing overall

16.             Edit Event name: Game name Day & Time then press Enter.

17.             You are now finished with 1st game. At select option window press ESCAPE and

          go back to the beginning of this section and add second game the same as you

          added 1st game.

18.             When all games have been added to file go to desktop & open “RESULTS” and

          click on “Your Name” file to view.
